Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.ġ7And if children, then heirs heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 9But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. 8So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 7Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 6For to be carnally minded is death but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 5For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 3For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 25But if we look forward to something we don't yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.)ġ There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (If we already have something, we don't need to hope for it. 24We were given this hope when we were saved. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us. 23And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. 22For we know that all creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. But with eager hope, 21the creation looks forward to the day when it will join God's children in glorious freedom from death and decay. ![]() 20Against its will, all creation was subjected to God's curse. ![]() 19For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are. 11And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, then he who raised Christ from the dead will also bring your mortal bodies to life through his Spirit who lives in you.ġ8Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. 10Now if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to him. 9You, however, are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. 8Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. 7The mindset of the flesh is hostile to God because it does not submit to God's law. ![]() 6Now the mindset of the flesh is death, but the mindset of the Spirit is life and peace. 5For those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit have their minds set on the things of the Spirit. ![]() He condemned sin in the flesh by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh as a sin offering, 4in order that the law's requirement would be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 3For what the law could not do since it was weakened by the flesh, God did. 1Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus, 2because the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.
